I love to fax. Simple as that. People think this is ridiculous. I decided to explain why I think faxing is wonderful.
When I was young I was obsessed with getting mail. Before I realized that mail equaled bills, ads, and other junk, I thought it was the best thing ever. To me mail was greeting cards and letters from family. When I got mail, I would sit down on the couch with my mom and carefully open the envelope, so as not to tear anything, and pull out what was inside. My mother and me would read the letter or card, and then I would quickly file it away in my “keepsakes” box. To me, there was nothing better than getting a card from Grandma with her handwriting on it , it was was so special. I’m still slightly enamored with mail, even though now my mail includes an excessive cable bill, 130 ads per week from car insurance companies, and the regular mailbox super saver ad, I still adore the rare letter or greeting card.
Flash forward to faxing… I love faxing because of the same principle. I like taking time to create something that I can scan through the fax machine and instantly deliver it to someone else. It makes me happy to know that I can quickly deliver a quick note or smile to someone else… you just can’t do that as well through e-mail.
I see faxing more as a “greeting card” then anything else. I like to send pick me ups, words of encouragement and **love letters. It makes me happy to make someone else smile. Its cheaper than mail, more personal then e-mail, and its super quick. So next time you determine that faxing is dumb, think of it from my perspective… it’s just a way to send an awesome **love letter to someone who needs it.
An Example of “Love Letter” Fax that I sent to Niki Rudolph.
**Love Letter: Something you send to someone to make then smile. A card, fax, gift…etc that you send for no reason at all, just to brighten someones day.

What a great idea Kristen. I think I’m going to be stealing this one! But I’m not sure I have the artistic ability to pull something off as good as the one in your example.
Jesse I think Kristen should start a faxing service. She can use her artistic abilities to created creative fax messages. Like a digital hallmark. #hashtagscostextra
